Important Notice: The opening ceremony and dedication of the Montefiore Institute building which originally took place on Thursday, August 17, 1916, will be re-enacted at Heritage Park, marking 110 years after the historical event. Many notable performers will present songs, poems, and inspiring words. The organizing committee invites everyone at Heritage Park that Sunday to enjoy this wonderful event.

Two performances of the ceremony will take place on the front porch of the Synagogue building, with seating provided on the front lawn and directly across Prince Street. This will definitely be the largest and most enjoyable gathering to ever take place in the history of the Montefiore Colony. Many notable performers and dignitaries from across Canada will entertain our guests with songs, poems, and inspiring words.
