Bison – A Traveling Exhibit at Heritage Park

Explore Bison, Heritage Park’s brand-new immersive exhibit, toured by Kauffman Museum on behalf of the National Buffalo Foundation. Dive into the fascinating history and cultural significance of this iconic North American mammal. Through engaging displays, learn about the bison’s vital role in Indigenous cultures, their near-extinction and current conservation efforts, including the Blackfoot Confederacy of Southern Alberta’s Buffalo Treaty and Parks Canada’s “Bison Belong” campaign. Opening on Sept. 16, 2024, at Gasoline Alley Museum, this exhibit offers a unique connection to Alberta’s rich heritage and natural environment.
