In honour of Pride Month, we’re excited to be running a fantastic walking tour on the beautiful Fort Calgary grounds.
QUEER HISTORY WALKING TOUR
When: Saturday, September 9
Time: 2–3 pm
Price: $10 (walking tour only – access to the museum requires additional admission)
Ages: 16 and up due to discussion of mature topics
Description: How was gender and sexuality constructed in early Calgary and Canada? This one-hour outdoor walking tour explores the impact of militarism and cowboys on gender and sexuality, and highlights those who broke the boundaries of society to explore their own path. The walk will run rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather.
