What’s Up With Horns and Hooves
December 10, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Alberta is home to many wild species, that sport horns, hooves or both! These characteristics are unique to Alberta’s ungulates- moose, elk, caribou, pronghorns, deer, bison, sheep and goats. Their hooves help them to travel on hard, rocky or snowy terrain. Their horns and antlers are used for defense and to find a mate. Ungulates are year-round residents in our province. Visit investigation stations hosted by volunteers and partner organizations to learn more about Alberta’s wild ungulates. Learners of all ages and abilities are welcome! Event activities are included with paid Discovery Centre Admission.
