Join TELUS Spark for Humility Science: Bow-Making Workshop, a hands-on learning experience exploring the physics, relationships, and cultural protocols connected to traditional bow-making.
Guided by Knowledge Keepers Alice Kaquitts and Tom Snow, participants will learn about the gratitude offered to the tree ancestor before carving and explore how teachings from birds inform the use of feathers for arrow aerodynamics. Through these complex ancestral teachings, participants will experience the depth of Indigenous science and learn through relationships with Land.
This workshop is free for Indigenous youth and includes food, transportation, and all supplies.
